Congratulations on your admission to the University of Illinois at Chicago!

The UIC Orientation for first-year students is a two-day overnight Orientation designed to acquaint you with UIC, ensure your success by providing information and up-to-date resources, and provide you with your first opportunity to meet with an academic advisor.

When making travel arrangements, please be aware that all activities are mandatory and students may neither arrive late nor leave early. An overnight stay is required for the first-year program. We will provide on-campus overnight accommodations for each student.

Program Dates

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Illinois at Chicago! Program dates for 2016 range from June 2 – July 26. Not all dates are available to students in all academic programs.

PROGRAM CHECK-IN

Check-in is at 7:45 am at the Behavioral Sciences Building (BSB) located at 1007 West Harrison Street.

o MarketPlace: Information fair
o Optional Student Recreation Facility (athletic attire required)

DAY 2

o On-campus living or commuter services presentation
o Counseling Center services
o Academic success programs information
o University ID card issuance (i-card)
o Safety presentation with the UIC Police
