Orientation Leaders and Senior Staff


The Orientation Leader team is a group of 40-45 UIC students that assists new students, families and guests to the institution at summer orientation and other first-year transition events. These students exemplify are the face of the institution, serving as stewards of the university and helping future generations of Flames in their transition to campus.

This paid leadership position will expose you to many other students, academic partners and other stakeholders around the university and beyond while also allowing you to discover your leadership potential and develop valuable customer service skills.

The application for this role comes out in late Fall and the selection process happens in early Spring.



The Senior Staff team is a group of 6-8 UIC students that have previously served in the Orientation Leader role. These students serve in escalated leadership roles, acting as peer supervisors to the Orientation Leader team, assisting with office duties and customer service, and helping to plan and execute the summer and spring orientation programs.
