Program Details

UIC Orientation sessions for first-year students for Summer 2019 occur between May 29th - July 29th. Not all dates are available to students in all academic programs.

Please note: an overnight stay is required for the first-year program. We will provide on-campus overnight accommodations for each student.

PROGRAM CHECK-IN

Check-in for this program begins at 7:45am at Student Center East (SCE) located at 750 S. Halsted St. Please follow the signs and Orientation Leaders to the check-in location. If driving, please plan accordingly with Chicago traffic. The closest parking structure is the Halsted Street Parking Structure (760 W. Taylor St) which costs $13 per day.

ORIENTATION FEES

Students will be assessed a fee of $149 for each first-year student and $75 for each family member or guest. Fees will post to your account in late summer to avoid mid-summer financial aid conflicts when trying to register for classes. Please plan accordingly for this charge to post to your account prior to your start at UIC.

If you are in need of financial assistance, we offer a limited number of discounts to those attending. Please visit the Resources tab on our website to access the Orientation Fee Discount Form.

OVERNIGHT HOUSING POLICIES

When staying on campus for Orientation, first-year students participating in the program are not allowed to leave campus for any reason. Leaving campus will result in immediate dismissal from the program.
