We hope you are excited to begin your journey as a UIC Flame. Now that you have declared your Intent to Enroll (ITE) at UIC, you are ready to take the next step in your transition by starting your UIC Orientation!

The first required phase of your orientation is to complete your online orientation, which consists of modules introducing you to UIC and the wide array of available resources. You can complete the modules at your own pace and they do not have to be completed in one sitting. You will be able to access these modules by logging in at my.uic.edu and searching for Online Orientation. These modules will open on November 8th. Additionally, your academic college may require or suggest placement tests for you. All students need to log in at my.uic.edu, search for Placement Tests, and complete the questionnaire that will identify any required or suggested placement tests. Placement tests will be available by October 30th.

The second required phase of your UIC Orientation will be an in-person, one-day orientation program. These programs will include a welcome to UIC, presentations on important topics related to your UIC transition, and academic advising and course registration. These programs will occur the week of December 13th – 17th and January 4th – 7th , and you must register in advance for one of the program dates offered. Registration for in-person sessions will be available by November 22nd and can be found at my.uic.edu. You must complete both the online orientation modules and any required placement tests to be eligible to register for the orientation program.

For additional updates about our programs, please follow us on Instagram @UICOrientation. We will also be sending more information about each of these phases to your UIC email, which ends in "@uic.edu" so please make sure you are actively monitoring that account for additional emails from our office. For details on how to access your UIC email, please visit go.uic.edu/uicgmail for more information.

Every academic college has additional items students must complete as they prepare for their orientation program. Please select from the dropdown below based on academic college and then view the information applicable to your status as a new student, (first-year or transfer student).
